Spring from Break.

Well, it was worse than I thought it would be. For two Spring Breaks in a row I’ve gone on a trip and on said trip have come to the realization that I have the world’s most amazing parents. When I go home, I always feel like I can be myself and I feel like my parents really enjoy my company and have grown to appreciate the woman I am today. I like that I can share anything with them, they are definitely what I think a family should be.

Aside from that Spring Break broke down a little like this:

Friday: Drive to Houston and arrive at 1am because of traffic. EEK!

Saturday: Watch Chris do yard work, eat chinese with his parents, and watch Despicable Me in 3D on their new TV( it was really cool, just like the movies.)

Sunday: (Pause for reaction) I went to church. Normally I wouldn’t have an issue with this, but his parents really didn’t give us an option, they also don’t know/or ask anything about what if I was JEWISH>oh well. Then Chris took me to the zoo!

Monday: Chris and I did homework and then packed for our trip to Galveston!

Tuesday: We left for Galveston about noon. We didn’t get there until almost four. But we made it to the beach anyway. It was still pretty chilly for Spring Break so we didn’t stay long, but we got some good pictures on the coast.

Wednesday: We went to The Strand (a shopping strip in downtown) where I got the most delicious smelling candles (a mixture of amaretto, vanilla, almond, and something special). Later we went back to the beach and then had an amazing authentic Italian dinner!

Thursday: We left Galveston and headed to Kemah for their famous boardwalk. It was really crowded but it was fun. Yes, I rode a roller coaster.

Friday: We came home.

Some how in the mix of all those happy photos were some really hard times. For the most part, specifically Galveston, I had a really good time. But if Chris is a permanent part of my life, his parents are something I have to get used to.

Now it’s back to real life. I’ve been writing my debate essay and I really like how it’s turning out. School is back in session Monday and I can’t wait for summer.
